On The Roman Affair, I only write about places I truly love. Hotel Punta Rossa is one of them.
Set on the cliffs of San Felice Circeo, this hidden retreat overlooks a wild, quiet bay where the Mediterranean still feels untouched. The rocks, the wind, the scent of pine trees, and the sound of waves shape every moment.
You fall asleep to the sea. You wake up to it. Every room opens to endless blue. Every sunset happens right in front of you. The food is honest and excellent—fresh fish, local vegetables, summer wines—served on stone terraces above the water.
It’s a place for silence, for light, for time.
If you’re staying in Rome for more than a few days, think of it as an escape—or the softest way to end your trip.
Punta Rossa is about 100 km south of Rome—an easy hour and a half by car. Driving is best if you want to explore the coastline and the Circeo National Park.
